Meet Mireille and Amos members of our Bisai clubs

Meet Mireille Graham and Amos Kiki Njoh, two pioneers of our Bisai clubs. They are helping us build from the ground up a strong community and the right partnerships for our long-term success. Learn more about their personal stories and their motivations for joining our Bisai clubs.

Mireille Graham

I am Mireille Graham. I live in the Los Angeles area in Southern California. I am a nurse trainer at UCLA (University of California Los Angeles) and manage a rehabilitation unit within the same establishment. I am originally from Cameroon. I moved to the USA about 20 years ago after undergraduate studies at the University of Yaoundé.

I then enrolled at the University of Phoenix where I graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing.  I strongly believe in the power of community service and the need for the diaspora to develop a thriving and active community in the USA to be able to support in an effective way our impoverished communities back in Africa.  I am a member of several community organizations in the USA and in Cameroon.
I cofounded the Bassa Mpoo Bati of LA organization to foster solidarity bounds between members and facilitate their integration in the USA. I regularly support development projects in villages in Cameroon. The last one was the installation in 2020 of a water pump system in the village of Ntouleng in the Nyong et Nkelle division to provide potable water to this community.

I joined the Bisai clubs because I like the idea of building a strong and diverse community of volunteers in the USA. As a member of Bisai clubs you not only commit to a minimum level of financial support to our projects that is meaningful to you, you also have the opportunity to be involved in a variety of interesting programs and expand your network. You can promote our causes in your workplace, churches, schools and other local communities.

I love the opportunity to educate my colleagues, students and my local church community about the traditions and culture of the Bassa Mpoo Bati people of Cameroon. Mbai Bassa Community provides me the platform and the tools to develop strong relationships that I can leverage to help raise funds through corporate gifts and other grant programs. I believe it is very important to engage younger generations as well as corporations and other institutions in the USA to be successful in the long term.  I truly believe that what we are doing has the potential to be a game changer in the long term. It will require a lot of hard work, good organization and the willingness to expand beyond our usual circle of influence. I am very excited about the potentials that this approach will open up in the long term. I encourage all to join. It is a tremendous opportunity to touch lives in a big way and for personal growth.

Amos Kiki Njoh

I am Amos Kiki Njoh. My wife Elisabeth and I live in the Berkeley area in Northern California. I am currently a Corporate Lead Auditor with Chevron USA. I am a graduate of The British College in Cameroon and California State University where I earned degrees in Sales, Marketing, accounting and Business Administration respectively.

My assignment takes me all over the world to carry out internal and partners audits. During my many business trips to Africa, I was moved by the abject conditions of orphans and abandoned children who roam the streets unattended. As a result, I decided to do something about it.
I created the Njoh Suzanne Foundation where we provide school supplies, food items, first aid kits and hygienic supplies to orphans and needy children through local Churches and Orphanages in Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Cameroon. We have also rehabilitated water wells in the Dibombari area in Cameroon.
I am a board member of Cry Cameroon whose mission is to give hope to orphans whose parents were victims of AIDS, Malaria and other devastating illnesses. Cry Cameroon provides education, health, shelter, and nutritional care to the children.
I joined the Bisai clubs of Mbai Bassa Community because I believe in the mission of organization and into its comprehensive approach which includes: (1) building a strong community of volunteers in the USA; (2) partnering with other nonprofit organizations, US corporations and local communities both in the USA and in Cameroon; (3) Leveraging technologies to ensure the transparency, efficiency and sustainability of its programs.  I love the challenges to innovate and emulate the best in the field. So if like me you love going beyond the beaten paths, join us today.
