An encounter that inspired us to work together to better serve our community.
In June 2022, to mark the 1st anniversary of the passing of President Jerome MINLEND, the Bassa Bati Mpoo community of North America released a memory album that tells the story of their encounter with leader Jerome MINLEND, how it changed them and inspired them to work together to better serve their communities.
We are sharing this memory album here with you. We hope you will take the time to discover and read the different testimonies. A slideshow of the album is also available on our Youtube channel.
For those who are interested, an interview given by our President to La Voix Du Centre newspaper provides more context on the genesis of this project.
Our gratitude to all those who contributed testimonies. You will find them throughout the album, to George Bayiha (Georgia) for going the extra mile to make available the fabulous pictures of the exceptionally beautiful Atlanta event, to Andre Ntamack (Maryland) for participating in the initial brainstorming and to the core team responsible for the design and implementation of this project: Alain Nonga (California), Benjamin Booh (Canada), Pie Bayehe (Maryland), Nyounai Nyounai (Maryland).
To all members of our North America communities especially the Jerome MINLEND memorial WhatsApp forum and others, without your vision and your decision to set aside the necessary resources, this project would have not been possible. We thank you for that.
