Welcome to Mbai Bassa California 2019 Gala and Cultural event Web Page. This is the place where you will find all the information you need about our 2019 Gala and Cultural Event.
This year in addition to our San Francisco Bay Area participants, we are very honored to welcome participants from Cameroon, France, Canada, and throughout the US and California.
We have tailored our program to meet the diversity of interests of our participants. We want you to enjoy very much your time with us, to get a better understanding of the Bassa-Mpoo-Bati Culture and traditions, and to experience the beauty and the dynamism of our region and of the Silicon Valley as the world’s hub for the development of leading edge technologies.
That is why our program this year includes: Live entertainment with the best Assiko dancer in North America who will showcase the most popular dance of the Bassa-Mpoo-Bati people, a Bassa singer right from Paris France, the best African DJ in the area, a Silicon Valley Tech Tour and a Picnic and Wine Tasting tour.
Phiesty Food LLC will be in charge of the overall orchestration of the Gala Party and bringing us a taste of the wonders of the Cameroonian, Carribbean and American cuisine.

We are no longer processing online registrations. However, you can directly register at the Gala starting from 6:00PM.

An exceptional location just across Lake Merritt and within the historical Lady of Lourdes Church compound with ample parking secured with security guards.

Two Parkings with security guards will be available to participants:

- On Boden way just across Lay of the Lourdes: 500 Boden Way, Oakland

New Milestone with the launching of Mbog Liaa USA West Coast
The officers of Mbog Liaa USA West Coast will be officially installed at the Gala by Mbog Liaa General President, Jerome MINLEND in the presence of Pie BAYEHE, President of Mbog Liaa USA. Mbai Bassa California will officially join the Mbog Liaa network. Together We Go Farther!

The round table will be centered around how knowing our own culture, knowing who we are and where we come from, and working together as a community, can help us build bridges with other communities, integrate more effectively in our new land, and contribute more effectively to the improvement of the living conditions of our people back in Africa.

Ferdinand Mayega is a Journalist, Author, Lecturer, specialist of issues related to the African diaspora role in the development of African countries and the challenges they face. His most recent book “L’avenir de l’Afrique . La diaspora intellectuelle interpellee” is available on Amazon. He has received several awards for his researches and reporting including Honorable Award for Excellence in Journalism from The International Catholic Union based in Switzerland.

Dr Crepin Mahop is a Professor of Mathematics and Director of the Undergraduate studies at Howard University Mathematics Department. He was formerly Head of the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, and Director of General Administration of the ENSAI-IUT, of Ngaoundere Cameroon.
He is President, Cameroon Congress of America (CAMCONGRESS), a 501 (C)3 NGO whose main purpose is to help facilitate the integration of Cameroonian Immigrants in the American Economic, Cultural, Educational, Social and Political ways of life. He is the founder of “Amical General Bassa” in Washington DC, an advocate of the promotion of the Bassa Mpoo Bati traditions and cultures in Cameroon. He is a member of the Board of Directors of several NGOs.

Jerome Minlend is CEO at Cameroun Audit Conseil (CAC) International, General President of Mbog Liaa, a worldwide network of associations of people of Bassa Mpoo and Bati origin. He has been for more than three decades, a tireless promoter of the Bassa Mpoo Bati culture and traditions, and has facilitated the emergence of the Bassa Mpoo Bati art and artists on the world stage.
