Strengthening our community outreach

Dear friends,
Thanks to your support, we are very pleased with the progress we made in 2022, the 2nd year of the launching of Mbai Bassa Community. With our partner Ndap I Maten, we completed the renovation project at the CETIC of Bonepoupa. The students of the school can now study without being exposed to the elements of the nature or share their space with animals. With your help, our corporate gift matching program increased by 500%. In 2023 our focus is to continue to increase our impact in the fields and to deepen our relations with our local communities. For that purpose we are launching a series of initiatives including: (1) our  community outreach signature events  in June 2023 in Oakland and throughout the Bay area; (2) our community highlights series with the goal to highlight important good work and events happening in our communities and that can be an inspiration to all of us; (3) Mbai Bassa Community Fundraising Kine awards to show our deep appreciation to our volunteers who go the extra mile to help us raise funds and fulfill our mission.
We hope you will be inspired as we have been, by the remarkable contributions of two of our sisters: Rachel Tonye of Quebec (Canada) and Valerie Wehiong-Batta of North Carolina (USA).
AmazoneSmile was retired in February 2023. We thank all who have been supporting us through this program. You can still support us through Ebay for charity, Paypal giving fund, Facebook fundraiser and many other business to consumer charity funds.
We are grateful of your continued support. Visit our website to learn more about our programs and the many opportunities we offer to contribute in a way that is meaningful to you. Lake Merritt Oakland

Coming soon!!! Mbai Bassa Community "Community outreach signature events" in June 2023 in Oakland

With theses events, we intend to deepen our relations with our Bay Area local communities. Throughout the month of June 2023, we will be holding a series of events called Community Outreach Sigature Events (COSE). The main event will take place around Lake Merritt in Oakland the 1st or 2nd Saturday of June 2023. We are working with the city of Oakland on the permit and the date.  With our local partners, friends, volunteers and donors, we will introduce Mbai Bassa Community to the general public, sell donated items, offer a taste of Cameroonian food and a variety of entertainments. Throughout the month, our Bisai club members and other volunteers will perform community services on behalf of Mbai Bassa Community and participate to community building events throughout the Bay Area.
